I thought this was in order for a while now, and maybe it's already been done with all the playerbase feedback (as well as TheFrostE's post), but this is more like the 'Trophy Unlocked' notice for the devs.

SideQuest Studios and eastasiasoft: Although Final Prototype has about thirteen days left until launch, one can already tell it's going to be a top-notch title, one of the highest quality games available for PSN download. This goes for Himmelssturmer as well.
Other titles like the R-Type collections available on PSN don't count because they are re-releases of already-proven games.
Soldner-X started out from scratch, came out of nowhere, and managed to be just as good (if not better than) as most of the shooters that have ever been made.
You've all done quite a wonderful job, not only with the games but in the support you've shown for the players - personally. We even have regulars for the series (TheFrostE, Griever73, GalaxyWarrior, Hsanrb and many more) who will most likely be around for all of your next installments (I know I will; I'm looking at you, 'TBA' tab).
Soldner-X is fun and challenging, and has a realistic atmosphere that definitely won't be forgotten with the impact it had in the face of so many odds.

Congratulations for the success of Himmelssturmer and the culmination of Final Prototype. Here's to another three years (and hopefully many more) of greatness!

Now what you all need to do is book a long vacation to Ellje. I've heard their resorts are spectacular! Just don't get too close to the woods.

Theres a TBA tab? I'm just enjoying great games that have a bit of challenge in them. Though if I always get bored I can take a stab of SX1 PC Nightmare (PS: Unlike PS3 version, PC version actually makes it harder to kill the enemies, hence why the record is like 40k www.soldner-x.com/index.php?option=com_s...n=0&difficulty=6 )

Just a game that helps me relive the classics, no matter how new, will be a game I buy. Challenge helps, but isn't always required. Just don't do Endless mode for a leaderboard, you'll find I fall asleep playing a game over and over again (Last I checked, 5M on Xevious Resurrection on that Namco collection on PSN was like top 20, with like a dozen people above me maxed score. That was the worst 5 hours of my life since I nearly fell asleep playing.)

Thanks for your feedback, although you haven't even played the sequel yet. But (if that counts at all), I also think that we put a lot of unique content into both Soldner-X games. I bought a lot of PSN games myself (actually a bit less recently) and think we can be proud of our achievements.

To answer your question, there's not going to be an endless mode in SX2. If you look at other score shooters, Soldner-X 2 already takes a bit longer to play through (around 1 hour if you got all worlds unlocked) and there's lots of room for score improvements in a single run.

The TBA tab I was referring to appears on this page: www.sidequest-studios.com/sx1_games.html
I can imagine it'll be another great title, but for now they've already pulled off what quite a few companies would kill to have this early on.
Soldner-X's PC port is incredibly difficult, but it's still just as fun. It's much easier played when you use a PS3 controller on your PC (there's a way to do it, but it's fearsomely complicated if you run into errors). I imagine it'd be even easier to use a joystick.

I'm pointing at Super Stardust HD (a new take on Asteroids for those who never played) and playing the game on Arcade Normal... World record is approaching 2B points @ ~6hr game. Of course the game goes up to Suicidal speeds (heck they even named difficulties that high.) Each difficulty is played by playing the previous difficulty, you never unlock them so to get back to the hardest difficulty you need to start on Normal and advance up the difficulties again (which was cleared at the cost of like 100 lives and 100 bombs.) in which it just loops and loops and loops until the inevitable game over.
