I'm just wondering is DLC possible (please say yes) and what everyone would like to see in a DLC package?

Personally I'd like a wave attack, surviving hoards of enemies is great for replay value. I'm not sure if competitive multi player would work though .?.

The only DLC I can see is more challenges that expand what we already have, or additional levels similar to MM DLC.

We probably wont' see any online play, which is a relief because broadband penetration isn't deep enough for everyone to get smooth gameplay. We might see another ship, but how will it fit in the lore. I could see more leaderboards for already existing challenges, like the final challenge a leaderboard based on continues/deaths.

I don't see any DLC that could get me to make a return flight, its like asking for them to patch the fun I had with the original with an engine that isn't designed in such fashion.

True DLC can ruin the core element of a game... or just turn out meaningless, more challenges would be cool but the gold trophy may need revising, not all would be happy, but loyals sure will be.

I think I'd consider myself a loyal, I was sure loyal when I jumped into SX-2 when I would have skipped if gone by another title (THAT IS FACT!!!,) and I was disappointed by self-hype, lack of a challenge of extra hard, and challenges that although educate the gamer, were given too much leeway. The hardest challenge could have been a real bite, but was allowed to use as many credits as you wanted made it easier than most of the ones on the board.

I did notice the game is easy, would a veteran mode suit you, or one hit death mode... something that would keep you on youre toes. Maybe the challenges should be atainable through standard gameplay, but knowing what youre aiming for can add more pressure ( if like me youre not the greatest gamer ) but I see why youre dissapointed with lack of difficulty.

No, the base game isn't something I'd build off of to design additional content I'd be satisfied with. I'd be pointing towards SX-1 as a base, enough depth and punishment for the high level, casual enough for easier difficulties once the tricks are learned, difference than mastered.

Veteran mode, one hit mode, both would spin SX-2 into a different game and my 8/10 rating would probably actually lower because they'd probably cater it into a mode that doesn't fit the game. Theres other games that I'd enjoy that SX-2 would be attempting to emulate rather than originate.

Thing I just hit my view on SX-2's flaws, emulation rather than origination. This game feels like its emulating the Raiden's of the genre rather than originating material you don't see in the genre. The original had some uniqueness that inspired me to look back on the challenges in a positive light rather than a negative, while this game I view things it attempts to do negatively. Play rank system = original, but it created a double-edged sword that when cut both ways is a negative rather than the positive it should have been.
