I managed to clear Chain Expert on my first try. When doing that challenge don't be afraid of getting hit. If you see an enemy about to leave the screen or if you can't get in front of it again to shoot it just collide with them to kill them to make sure you do not miss any rings. Play very very aggressively and be at the right part of the screen for most of the time to be able to pick up the rings fast. Stay to the left on the mini boss though otherwise you will miss some lines of the round enemies which will only enter the screen once. Make good use of shockwaves when there are multiple enemies on the screen and after the floating islands use a limit attack to kill all the blobs and enemies. Be aggressive on the boss also and stay near and don't be afraid to get hit.

The Final Prototype ship works well for me on this level.

It's not a good game but I got 19! chains on stage 4, maybe it can help you to solve that challenge.

There really should be an option to skip stages during a replay; the game is embarassing apart from that particular stage


Oh and regarding the expansion:

So ... the only proble is when you lose a life, you lsot your current chain
And all others challenge are hard to do to (evasion master)

I think this game is awsome and 1 of the best ive played for a while now and definatley cannot wait till the "the final chapter comes out" : but this may sound stupid but when is the final quarter of 2010? is that around august to October? sorry

Q4/2010 means October to December 2010.
Hopefully we can make it happen in early of Q4/2010, but it's difficult to make any accurate projections. Right now the DLC is in development and I can promise that the new stages will be really amazing...
