Anyone have a pic/video of what this weapon looks like? I'm pretty sure it's going to be nearly impossible for me to get this one.

Complete the game or Stage 7. Afterwards, a brief 'The End? We're just getting started!' screen will appear. Pictured here is the Mexxus II. The violet chemical weapon you see emerging from its underslung weapon hardpoint is the Fog Blaster. I'm pretty sure I won't be able to unlock a couple of the weapons myself, but I'm currently making a stab at the Bow Knowledge challenge in order to grab the Flamethrower. You have to be careful, but it's not too difficult!

EDIT: (Non-Professional Mode Activated!) Gyaaaaaaaaah! I got to Van Krist's boss during the Bow Knowledge challenge and it killed me! It's all because of Grubenriese, I lost a life there! -Buried in gloom.-

At least I'm only missing key #5 in stage 6 now. ^^

btw I already unlocked 2 weapons when shooting down a random rare enemy during an extra hard playthrough attempt, so in case you can't make a challenge, maybe all weapons will unlock eventually through the rare enemy encounters...but so far that's just a guess...

I sure as heck hope so, pilot! I know these challenges are just nuts! But I hope I can unlock everything through the RARE enemy encounters. Sheesh, I'd really hate to miss out on features because I can't fly well enough. ><

Great find, pilot! I'm trying it now. This'll mean I can focus on trying to unlock some of the weapons now (ha, yeah right, unless the RAREs contain them too).

EDIT: Um, is it just me, or are the RAREs too hard to kill to be fair? They don't appear often enough to elicit looking for them again. I just shot one from the right side all the way to the left side of the screen and it wouldn't open. This has happened twice; I wonder what I've missed out on? Ick.
