Hey everyone, I wonder if someone can answer me this: What is the second weapon you can unlcok for the Mexxus? (as there are 6 unlockable weapons in the award-screen and I already have 5 Thor's weapons and 4 for each of the other 2 (and I know I still have the flamethrower to complete), so that leaves one weapon for the mexxus, which I can't seem to find a challenge for, so anyone know what I'm missing and where to get it?

You have to destroy a RARE enemy (while not in the Action Fan/Action Master challenges), they will drop the weapon unlock for you.

Speaking of unlockable weapons, will any of them help me in score-focused runs? I know the Flamethrower will (Grubenriese is confident because he knows I can't get that one). I have the Rocket, as well as the Thor's Mine, and they've helped quite a bit, but I was just wondering if the others (like Rocket Gun and Fog Blaster) would make any noticeable difference.

EDIT: Knowing this will determine whether I continue to endlessly practice over and over and over again for score runs on Hard or switch to looking for the RAREs in order to even get the unlockable weapons.

The rocket on Ship 3 made the last boss significantly easier and faster for me. And of course, a quicker boss kill equals more points.

I'm unsure about the two unlockable weapons on the other two ships though, I've personally not used them much at all, but I imagine there are various points in the game where they can significantly improve your performance.

Alright, thanks. I'll keep the Rocket in mind for Van Krist Labs' boss next time I run into it. The last few RAREs I've seen only drop score-related extras (campaigns, not challenges)...that's good when I'm going for scores, but means it'll be harder to find the unlockables...
Either way, I'll just keep repeatedly flying Hard - I've gotten significantly better...though failing Bow Knowledge at halfway through Van Krist Labs' boss and my best Hard run ending at Grubenriese is kind of disheartening...haha.

well I used the Fog blaster quite a bit with certain bosses and it helps a lot (also for really big enemies obviously). Also I sometimes use it in combination with a limit attack for the invincibility granted by the limit, so that I can get close to a boss and use Fog, where it wouldn't have been possible otherwise, whcih is also something that can really improve your time a lot.

edit: I'd assume it would be really good against Grubenriese as well, if you fly with the Mexxus.

btw does that mean the "Rockets" and the "Rocket Gun" are two different unlockable weapons? (cause I always assumed that's the same anyway, so I didn't bother doing the challenge as I already have the rockets for ship 3)
