Yeah, I know. I'm about three and a half years late to the dance, I've already played the sequel (and only scraped by with a victory on Normal and a token few challenges completed), but I imagine I'll still get my $7.99 worth.

Figure I need a brief diversion from Rainbow Moon for a bit, anyway. :)

Another thanks from me, for supporting EAS/SideQuest.
Himmelssturmer has a special place in my heart. I've been there from the start and I'll say it'll get difficult in some parts, but it'll grow on you fast.
The first time I played, I had the Motion Detection option on - big mistake, I thought that was how the game was played!

Yeah, it's definitely less forgiving than the sequel, I'll give it that. :)

Went through the first stage on Normal and was wondering what all the complaints were that I'd read about - then I got to Stage 2 and realized I'd better sit down and get ready for some old school "remember the path you need to take so you don't get squished by the stage" action.

Stage 4 was also frustrating on my first run-through because I had no less than THREE Secret Keys drift off into the wild blue yonder before I could get close enough to reach them. And since there doesn't seem to be an option to begin back at the stage of your choice, I'll need to do some research on around where they appear if I expect to nab four of them any time soon!

Stage 2 can certainly be challenging and looking back swapping world 2 and 3 maybe would have made sense. Well it was our first game after all and we learned a lot from it, which we then improved in the sequel.

There are a number of YouTube videos that can help, search for "soldner-x secret keys". I'd also suggest that you play on beginner mode while looking for the secret keys.

Nodnod. I'll give it a few tries under my own resources before I succumb to the need to have the locations shown to me.

They're not really "secret" keys if I know where they all are the second or third time I go through the game! I don't want to just sneak through the game on Beginner and never play it again.

That's probably why I'm revisiting X-2 and seeing if I can get through the game on Hard, at least. Hasn't been going all that well. ;)
