Hong Kong – January 8, 2024 – Independent developer and publisher Eastasiasoft Limited announced today that Hakuoki: Chronicles of Wind and Blossom is coming soon for Nintendo Switch, collecting Hakuoki: Edo Blossoms and Hakuoki: Kyoto Winds into a single revised release. For fans of the otome genre, there can be no series more essential than Hakuoki, and Eastasiasoft Limited has partnered with Idea Factory to ensure that Hakuoki: Chronicles of Wind and Blossom is its most refined offering to date.
Hakuoki: Chronicles of Wind and Blossom is a visual novel adventure centered around heroine Chizuru Yukimura and the handsome legendary warriors of the Shinsengumi. Players guide Chizuru’s decisions and romances during a time of great conflict in Japan, near the end of the feudal era when fighting was fierce and love was fleeting. This compilation covers two interconnected tales beloved to long-time fans of the acclaimed otome series, while also offering a perfect jumping-on point for players who might never have experienced Hakuoki’s beautiful storytelling. This Nintendo Switch release also includes revisions to improve English localization based on feedback from the dedicated fanbase.
Digital release is expected later in 2024. Physical editions will be available for preorder with Playasia this week at 10:00am ET / 7:00am PT / 3:00pm UK on Thursday, January 11th. Limited Editions will include the game, manual, soundtrack CD, art book, sticker sheet and numbered certificate in a collector’s box. Standard copies will also be available as an open preorder at the same time.
