Review code requests now open for both games, Cup of Tales to be part of Steam Next Fest
Hong Kong – October 15, 2026 – Independent developer and publisher Eastasiasoft Limited announced two new projects today. First, visual novel Cup of Tales is set to launch on Steam this holiday season, with console versions planned for 2027. Second, horror-themed side-scrolling adventure YAMIGATARI: FOR3ST is now confirmed for console release, expected to launch in December 2026. New trailers for both games have been shared on the official Eastasiasoft Limited YouTube channel as well as social media accounts.
Cup of Tales combines cozy café coffee-brewing mechanics with meaningful character dialogue, where the player serves customers while listening to their stories, slowly uncovering a mystery that ties them all together. Cup of Tales will be part of Steam Next Fest October 19th through the 26th. Players are encouraged to try the free demo and wishlist the game during the event.
YAMIGATARI: FOR3ST is a retro pixel art psychological horror game with side-scrolling adventure elements, where players guide a young woman named Nora as she tries to escape a night of horror deep in the woods, solving puzzles and collecting clues about the entity pursuing her. The game features seven endings shaped by the player’s choices.
Cup of Tales and YAMIGATARI: FOR3ST are originally developed by Red Ego Games Ltd. and will be ported for consoles by Eastasiasoft Limited. Review code requests are now being accepted for both games.

YAMIGATARI: FOR3ST is a horror-themed side-scrolling adventure presented in a mix of old-school pixel art and hand-drawn character portraits, a tale of survival and mystery where you must use your wits and nerves to find a path forward. Guide Nora through the forest, investigate graves, shrines, a locked tunnel, a well and more unnerving fixtures of the darkened woods to find clues. Save your progress wherever an owl is perched. Solve puzzles, locate the combinations to locks, read notes and pick up key items needed to progress. Can you help Nora escape, or will you lead her straight to a wicked demise in this lonely wilderness?
