Blending roguelite progression and platforming with insanely fast combat, ScourgeBringer is a modern pixel art masterpiece that pushes the boundaries of multiple genres with vicious elegance.
Take the role of Kyhra, the deadliest warrior of her clan, as she explores a post-apocalyptic world and decimates legions of ancient machines guarding the seal on her past. Use a combination of melee slashes and ranged firepower to clear each chamber you enter… or die trying. Upon defeat, you’ll be returned to the Chiming Tree, a sanctuary where you can slowly build-up permanent skills to carry into your next attempt. If you’re a novice at roguelites or just frustrated by the hardcore challenge, though, developer Flying Oak Games still has you covered! ScourgeBringer features a wide range of neat accessibility options. Slow down the speed of enemy bullets, increase health item drop rates or even activate invulnerability. Use these settings to see more of the game or just practice until you’re ready for something more intense. Conversely, speed can also be increased by up to 50% for an even greater challenge or for post-game replay value.
Preorders for ScourgeBringer open with online retail partner Playasia at 11:00pm Hong Kong Time (11:00am ET / 4:00pm UK) this Thursday, July 1st. Limited Editions include the game, manual, soundtrack CD and numbered certificate in a collector’s box for only US$34.99 + shipping (only 1500 units). Alongside this release, we will also offer PS Vita Limited Editions of colorful action puzzler Pushy and Pully in Blockland (only 1000 units).
