Today we are thrilled to announce that anime-style visual novel Re:Burn The Bonfire of Taiwan will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Steam and the Microsoft Store for Windows in 2025.
Re:Burn The Bonfire of Taiwan is an officially licensed revival of THE BONFIRE OF TAIWAN, a classic Asian soap opera centered on the rivalry between two families, marked by business conflicts and personal grudges. The story reveals long-held secrets and explores themes of revenge, love, and betrayal, with characters embodying both good and evil. Alongside the family drama, the series reflects on social class struggles and emotional relationships, making it a landmark in Taiwanese television history. The new game Re:Burn The Bonfire of Taiwan reimagines the series’ story and characters in over-the-top anime style. The player’s choices and the characters' affection levels lead to either endings from the original show or unique game-exclusive outcomes, and as a special inclusion, key scenes from the live action original can be unlocked with progression through the game’s many compelling chapters.
Re:Burn The Bonfire of Taiwan is originally developed by Toii Games in cooperation with Sanlih E-Television Co., Ltd and will be published worldwide on all major consoles as well as Steam by Eastasiasoft Limited, fully localized with text support for English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
