Launching digitally for PlayStation® and Xbox, PS5™ physical pre-orders open this week
Hong Kong – March 2, 2026 – Independent developer and publisher Eastasiasoft Limited today announced that Asian cinematic horror game THE TAG-ALONG OBSESSION will launch digitally for PS5™, Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Store for Windows on May 6, 2026. Physical editions for PS5™ will be available for pre-order from online retail partner Playasia this Thursday, March 5th at 11:00pm Hong Kong time (10:00am ET / 7:00am PT / 3:00pm UK).
THE TAG-ALONG OBSESSION is a horror-themed adventure presented in cinematic 3D first-person perspective. Based on urban legend, THE TAG-ALONG OBSESSION combines intense and atmospheric survival horror gameplay with puzzle elements and investigation. Players take the role of Hui-Ting, the sole survivor of a supernatural incident that left her cursed. Now Hui-Ting must return to the abandoned resort where the incident first took place in hopes of finding a way to lift the curse and uncovering the truth behind her haunting.
THE TAG-ALONG OBSESSION is originally developed by LuLuDu Tech Co., Ltd. and ported for consoles by Eastasiasoft Limited. The game will be published digitally for PS5™, Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Store for Windows by Eastasiasoft Limited worldwide. Standard physical copies for PS5™ will be priced at US$29.99 plus shipping. A Deluxe Edition is also being prepared and will include a slipcase as well as a soundtrack CD. Pre-orders for both physical versions will open this week through Playasia and affiliated distribution partners.

About THE TAG-ALONG OBSESSION
While working at a TV station, Hui-Ting joins a team investigating a long-abandoned resort, where they encounter red-winged “death’s hand” hawkmoths and suffered a terrible accident. Hui-Ting was the lone survivor. Upon waking up, she was haunted by nightmares. Seeking relief from spiritual practitioners, she encounters a medium named Mrs. Chen, who warns Hui-Ting that she’s been possessed by a vengeful spirit and that her life could still be in danger.
To lift the curse, she must now return to the resort and perform a ritual, but in order to do this, she will face many challenges, uncover past tragedies and resolve a series of intertwining mysteries to discover the truth behind her haunting. THE TAG-ALONG OBSESSION is a first-person cinematic horror game based on urban legend. Players must guide Hui-Ting as she solves puzzles, gathers clues and stealthily evades the ghosts pursuing her, using valuable items along the way to aid in her survival!
