Physical pre-orders opening this week
Hong Kong – April 13, 2026 – Independent developer and publisher Eastasiasoft Limited announced today that they have once again partnered with Idea Factory to release Death end re;Quest Code Z for Nintendo Switch as an English edition in Asia. This special release will include English text support as well as voiceover in Japanese. Physical editions will be available to pre-order from Playasia later this week.
Following up on partnership with Idea Factory for the Hyperdimension Neptunia and Hakuoki series, Eastasiasoft Limited will be making Death end re;Quest Code Z available to new audiences as a physical English edition. Death end re;Quest Code Z is a standalone spin-off entry from developer Compile Heart that puts players in control of new protagonist Sayaka Hiwatari as she awakens in a parallel universe, a fresh setting that makes this a perfect jumping-on point for newcomers as well as a celebration of the series for existing fans. In Death end re;Quest Code Z, Sayaka must brave the perils of the Strain Area to rescue her friends before encroaching insanity overwhelms her. Like other games in the series, Death end re;Quest Code Z is filled with possible bad ends where Sayaka is brutally killed, but with each failed attempt, she gains valuable skill points to bolster her abilities and stack the deck in her favor for subsequent dungeon runs.
Physical editions for Nintendo Switch will be available for pre-order with online retailer Playasia this Thursday, April 16th at 11:00pm Hong Kong time. Only 2000 Limited Editions will be produced, which will include the game, manual, soundtrack CD, art book, Joy-Con™ stickers, mini case, acrylic standee and a numbered certificate in a collector’s box for US$59.99 plus shipping, while supplies last. There will be no reprint of this Limited Edition. Standard copies will also be available at US$39.99. Upon release, Death end re;Quest Code Z will also be stocked with select retail partners in Southeast Asia.
