So I thought since the Vita version of Rainbow Moon is scheduled for a summer release, and not much information has been released, that I'd put together a Vita Q&A so players can be informed of what changes and improvements are arriving to the Vita version. I know that some answers can still be pending, and that's understandable.

Q: Will Rainbow Moon support cross-saves between the PS3 and Vita version?
A:

Q: Any chance of there being a discount for those who've bought the PS3 version and plan on buying the Vita version as well?
A:

Q: What new features will be implemented into the Vita version, and how will you be able to use them in certain situations? IE: Touch controls, tilt functionality, etc.
A:

Q: Will the trophy list be shared between the two versions or seperate?
A:

Q: Are you planning to add any exclusive content to the Vita version? Such as a brand new party member, a few new unique quests, and enemies?
A:

Q: Rainbow Moon on Vita is scheduled for a summer 2013 release, is that still the target?
A:

Q: Admit it, the Vita is one sweet handheld!
A:

A basic Q&A for now. Perhaps you can use this for any future PlayStation Blog posts when you decide to reveal any additional information. B)

Thanks!

We haven't implemented the feature yet but still plan to do so. Unless something mysterious happens, cross-saves should be supported.

Q: Any chance of there being a discount for those who've bought the PS3 version and plan on buying the Vita version as well?

Most likely yes. We haven't worked out the details with Sony yet but our plan is to offer a discount for all players that already own the PS3 version.

Q: What new features will be implemented into the Vita version, and how will you be able to use them in certain situations? IE: Touch controls, tilt functionality, etc.

Apart from cross-save support it's most likely going to be a straight port without additional features.

Q: Will the trophy list be shared between the two versions or seperate?

It will have to be shared, otherwise cross-saving wouldn't be possible.

Q: Are you planning to add any exclusive content to the Vita version? Such as a brand new party member, a few new unique quests, and enemies?

No.

Q: Rainbow Moon on Vita is scheduled for a summer 2013 release, is that still the target?

The game is more or less playable on the Vita right now but some core components, such as networking and load/save support isn't implemented yet. We have encountered a few technical difficulties recently but are working on it. It's really difficult to make a precise forecast. The game will be done when it's done. ;-)

Because of all the rating and submission processes, the earliest possible release date will be Q3/2013.

Q: Admit it, the Vita is one sweet handheld!

Absolutely. :)
Rainbow Skies is finally available. Download it on the PS Store for PS4, PS Vita and PS3.
