We are happy to reveal that Rainbow Skies will follow in Rainbow Moon's footstep and launch exclusively on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita in 2014. Rainbow Skies will support cross-save, which means you can freely transfer your saved data between both versions of the game.
We are also excited to share the first character and monster artwork as well as new screenshots. I have added some to this post below, more can be found on Rainbow Skies official website. Feel free to let us know your feedback.
Füllgrabe did these designs, right?
Skies is aesthetically...different...from most EAS titles. Well, except for Ninja Sprint. Even RM had echoes of the Füllgrabe/Hideyoshi look from Final Prototype.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not really complaining. I absolutely love your lighting and environments (especially the last two, wow!).
Is that the Caves of Iya, by the way?!
Anyway, great stuff so far, good luck and keep it up. Once release gets closer, I'll be resuming RM to keep me busy in the mean.
Moritz Füllgrabe is our lead graphic artist and working on Rainbow Skies. However all the concept images (anything that looks hand-drawn) are outsourced to other people.
The concept for all buildings were done by the same artist who also contributed to Rainbow Moon, while character & monster designs were done by a different person. Overall Rainbow Skies will have a similar art direction but with more attention to details.
