Incantation is a horror-themed adventure presented in cinematic 3D first-person perspective. The game is adapted from the Taiwanese live action film of the same name, and environments are designed to authentically reflect aspects of Taiwanese culture, landscapes and folklore. Players assume the role of a mother who is searching for her missing daughter. She is led to a place called the Chen Family Village, which is haunted by an evil deity and inhabited by cultists. The player must guide the mother through the village, solving environmental puzzles by interacting and finding key items as well as picking up clues to lead them from area to area.
Incantation is originally developed by Softstar Entertainment Inc. and will be published digitally for Nintendo Switch, PS5, Xbox Series X|S and the Microsoft Store for Windows by eastasiasoft. Digital pricing is set at US$24.99/€24.99, and a 10% launch discount will be available for a limited time. Physical Limited Editions for Nintendo Switch include the game, manual, acrylic standees, Joy-Con stickers, mini case, lucky charm and numbered certificate in a collector’s box. The Limited Edition is only available for Nintendo Switch, priced at US$39.99 plus shipping. Standard copies for Nintendo Switch and PS5 are available at US$29.99. Pre-orders for all versions are currently open with Playasia.
