Retro Shmup ‘Iro Hero’ Lands on PS4™ and Xbox One

Includes all updates for one great price!

Hong Kong - December 16, 2019 – Independent developer and publisher, Eastasiasoft Limited, today announced that the retro-inspired vertical-scrolling shoot ‘em up Iro Hero from developer Artax Games will be available digitally for PlayStation®4 and Xbox One this week.

Previously only available for Nintendo Switch and Steam, Iro Hero will arrive worldwide on PS4™ and Xbox One, packed with all recent game updates, including four exciting game modes, increased ship speed, added animations and re-balanced difficulties. To further sweeten the deal, Iro Hero will launch at a budget price of just US$5.99/€5.99.

Iro Hero combines the old school, pixelated charm of 80s arcade shooters with modern mechanics and gameplay. Combining complex enemy AI, polarity mechanics, and light puzzle elements, Iro Hero unleashes mind-melting mayhem on all platforms! Players will have to shift polarities to avoid color-coded hazards, balance an array of unlockable skills, and make use of reflective surfaces and color areas if they’re to make it through Iro Hero’s 9 action-packed stages intact.

Set in the year 2306, Iro Hero opens a century after humans learned how to harness their energy to produce electricity. Over the years nefarious enterprises have turned this gift into a curse, with humans being treated as little more than batteries. Following the death of his mother, a teenager named Iro learns that he may be the key to mankind’s freedom.
